Our methodology

How every engagement begins

Before any work begins, we listen. Not as a preliminary to the real meeting, but as the meeting itself. Understanding a family's circumstances in their own words is the most important thing an adviser can do. Legal analysis follows from that — it does not precede it.

Every engagement involves at least two points of client contact before any document is finalised: one to understand the situation, and one to review and approve the draft before it is treated as final. No document leaves our office without the client's explicit knowledge of what it contains and what effect it will have.

We use fixed fees because we believe that uncertainty about cost adds to the difficulty of an already demanding situation. The fee for each service is stated plainly before any work begins. Any scope change is discussed with the client in advance, and a client may stop an engagement at any point.

A quiet consultation room

Service 01

Initial Family Consultation

Fixed fee: 4,500 THB

A first meeting for clients who would like to talk through a family matter at an unhurried pace before deciding whether any formal step is appropriate. The session covers a careful listening to the client's situation, a written summary of the relevant law in plain language, and a clear note of the options available. The aim is not to push toward a particular outcome but to leave the client with a calm written understanding of where they stand.

The meeting may take place in chambers or remotely if that suits the client better. There is no obligation to proceed with any further step after the consultation.

What is included

  • Full listening session — no time limit set by the clock
  • Written summary of applicable Thai family law
  • Clear note of options available to the client
  • In-person at chambers or remote video — client's choice

How it proceeds

1

You contact us and describe your situation briefly — enough to confirm that a family matter consultation is appropriate

2

A meeting is arranged at a time that suits you — in chambers or remotely

3

The session takes place. No notes are passed between staff during the meeting; one named adviser is present throughout

4

Within one working day you receive a written note covering what was discussed and what your options are

Service 02

Separation Agreement Preparation

Fixed fee: 9,200 THB

A focused service for couples who have decided, together or separately, that a written separation arrangement would be useful. The work covers preparation of a structured agreement covering household arrangements, financial responsibilities, and arrangements for any children, with each section discussed with the client in plain language before being written.

Each draft is shared for review before any further step is taken, so the client always knows what is being proposed in their name. The pace of the drafting is set by the family's own readiness. There is no rush, and revisions are expected as part of the process.

What is covered

  • Household and living arrangements
  • Financial responsibilities during the separation period
  • Arrangements for children, if applicable
  • Draft shared for review before each subsequent step

The drafting process

1

Initial meeting to understand the full picture of the family's circumstances and what a written arrangement needs to address

2

A first draft is prepared and sent to the client for review and comment — in plain language throughout

3

Comments and revisions are incorporated. Further drafts exchanged until the client is satisfied with the content

4

The finalised agreement is signed and a copy retained for our records and provided to the client

Service 03

Mediated Divorce Coordination

Fixed fee: 14,500 THB

A comprehensive coordination service for clients who would like their divorce handled through structured mediation rather than contested proceedings. The work covers preparation of the preliminary documentation, coordination with a qualified mediator, drafting of the agreed terms into a formal settlement, and lodging of the agreed papers with the appropriate authority.

The progress of the matter is reported to the client in writing at each meaningful step, and any decision affecting the outcome is referred back to them calmly and in advance.

What is included

  • Preparation of preliminary documentation
  • Coordination with a qualified mediator
  • Drafting of agreed settlement terms
  • Lodging of agreed papers with the appropriate authority
  • Written progress update at each meaningful step

How coordination works

1

An initial consultation establishes whether mediation is appropriate for the circumstances

2

Preliminary documents prepared; mediator selected and engagement arranged

3

Mediation sessions take place; adviser remains available for written guidance at each stage

4

Agreed terms drafted into formal settlement and reviewed with client before lodging

5

Papers lodged with the competent authority; client receives written confirmation of completion
