Case study 01 · Mediated divorce
A couple in Bangkok had been separated informally for around a year and wished to formalise the divorce without going through contested proceedings. Their main concern was the division of a jointly owned apartment and arrangements for their daughter, who was eight years old.
After an initial consultation with the wife, a second consultation with both parties together was arranged. A qualified mediator was engaged. Three mediation sessions took place over six weeks. Agreed terms were drafted into a formal settlement, reviewed by both parties, and lodged at the district office.
Divorce completed in approximately eleven weeks from first contact. Property division agreed without court intervention. Child arrangements recorded clearly in the settlement. Total cost: 14,500 THB.

Case study 02 · Separation agreement
A couple who had decided to separate wanted a written arrangement in place before either party moved out of the family home. There were no children but there was a shared business interest and two vehicles. Both parties wanted to avoid any further legal process if possible.
A separation agreement was drafted covering the living arrangements for the transition period, financial responsibilities for shared outgoings, and an agreed framework for the business interest. Three drafts were exchanged before both parties confirmed they were satisfied with the content.
Agreement finalised in four weeks. Both parties reported that having the written arrangement in place reduced the ongoing uncertainty significantly. Total cost: 9,200 THB.
